Day 6 (post trial) , APT 8

[He looks solemn when he walks into the apartment after the trial, but almost immediately perks up (or tries to) at the sight of Guy. Mitsutada smiles warmly, offering a greeting before taking his spot on the floor with a sigh.]

As always, it's tough to sit through those. [Please bear with him. He's just trying to make small talk so that the atmosphere isn't so grim.] How have you been, Guy-kun? Surely everything must be taking a toll on you too.

[Guy lingered after the execution to try to talk to Angel, but he'd retired to the apartment before curfew. The last few days have been insane, and it only promise to get worse. The way things ended left a pretty bad taste in his mouth. Still, when Mitsutada enters, Guy lifts his head in a wave and gives a friendly smile back, leaning against a wall]

It's insane. How many people are going to die before this thing is over?

[But, on the question--]

About as well I can, considering the circumstances. But don't worry about me. I'm pretty hardy.

How about you? It must sting, about Adam.

[Someone who opens their heart that much is bound to have it broken continuously.... Guy's seen it with Ion]

Well, you were right about him not being staff. I thought the same thing. [but it's not really a satisfying ending. He still killed Franziska]

I don't know. I want to say, not for much longer... but I don't see an end in sight. We haven't even gotten closer to finding out what's really going on.

[Guy takes the seat, giving Mitsutada a brief pat on the shoulder]

There's not much we can do about it now. Just be careful of you do trust.

...I don't know. I've been wrong before, but I don't think so. Do you suspect her?
